This is a longstanding maritime tradition that involves smashing a bottle of champagne against a ship's hull to symbolize the ship's ceremonial debut. Celebrity Beyond's maiden voyage departs Southampton on April 27, 2022, from Southampton, on a 10-night cruise to Bordeaux, France; Lisbon, Portugal; and Seville, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca and Barcelona, Spain. Celebrity Beyond will then spend the summer sailing in the Mediterranean before repositioning to Florida.
